CCR1009 is the most recent revision. After three years since the initial CCR1009 devices were released, It`s made an effort to incorporate all the customer input and manufacturing.

Significant alterations

The device no longer has a switch chip; instead, it has entirely independent Ethernet ports, each of which has a direct link to the CPU. This eliminates the previously shared 1Gbit constraint of switch-chip ports and allows for the full utilization of the CPU's processing capability on those ports. 

Utilizing a connection system

You can use any form of connection available to you with a combo port, which is a single 1Gbit software interface with two hardware interfaces (an SFP cage and a Gigabit Ethernet port). In RouterOS, it is also possible to switch between the two physical interfaces. The combo port enables hardware fail-over functionality in the event of a disconnect.

This is our first device that supports both 1.25G SFP modules and 100Mbps SFP modules in addition to 100BASE-LX, 100BASE-SX, and 100BASE-BX fiber modules.
